Bona Dea Update

Bona Dea was still snow covered today. It was sunny and very windy and really cold. Not too many folks were out jogging about. Some dude got out of his car and pulled off his warm clothes and had shorts and a T shirt and sneakers and off he went. Must be from the North Pole. I think the birds thought it was too cold and as they were not out and around as usual. There were a few woodland sparrows and black-eyed juncos hopping about. This time of year they keep pretty active. Photos of these in previous recent posts. Of course the ducks enjoyed this weather a lot and were moving around and splashing themselves with the cold water as usual. Mostly Mallards and Teals photos in recent posts. You could see on the dike steep bank where snowboards/sleders had been doing their thing. See photos of snow covered gazebo and steep dike and the picnic area.
